The 2023 Cloud Modernization Research Report: Unleashing AI’s Potential

Cloud Modernization is paving the way for the effective use of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning. It is creating efficiencies that can boost organizational performance and accelerate time to market.

 

In 2023, Rackspace Technology® polled 1,420 IT professionals worldwide and across multiple industry verticals. Survey respondents worked in financial services, manufacturing, retail, hospitality, government, and healthcare in the Americas, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. 90% of survey respondents stated that AI is a primary factor driving their modernization of applications and data. 80% agreed that failing to modernize would prevent them from taking full advantage of AI.

 

Additionally, exactly one-third of those surveyed expressed that they lacked the expertise to implement modernization. Modernization efforts can encounter delays, exceed budgets, and pose security risks, especially when key applications remain un-migrated.
